Strange Symptoms… Ovarian Cancer?
I am 23 years old. Since delivering my second daughter 7 months ago, I have had strange symptoms develop:
- acid reflux ( It would not improve with Prilosec. )
- new food sensitivities
- panic attacks / anxiety ( Oddly, this would happen mostly with eating. )
- weight loss
- reactive hypoglycemia ( I suspect this based on my symptoms. It’s not confirmed for certain yet. )
- significant weight loss
- low body temperature ( First thing in the morning it is about 95.5 F under my arm. )
I have had many tests done and so far it has been discovered that my DHEA is low (51) and that according to an ultrasound I have one cyst on my right ovary and several cysts on my left ovary as well as two bright white spots on my left ovary. My gynecologist said that the cysts and white spots are small ( I don’t remember the size she said. ) but I think she is concerned that the white spots are cancer and I am too. Some of my symptoms seem so strange, though. I am having CT scans of my lungs, abdomen, and pelvis today. I hope that will give some more evidence as to what is going on. While I wait for that result… has anyone else ever similar symptoms or have and idea what to make of all this?
Additional details:
- I have a somewhat elevated iron level although I take no iron supplement or vitamin containing it.
- So far I am still getting my period.
- I am waiting for the results of a 24 hr. urine cortisol test.
- I have had thyroid and other hormones checked and they are normal.
- I have had a normal MRI of my brain.
- Platelet count is fine.

I had cancer, but I’m better now. I keep getting these headaches. I have for years, even before the cancer. I had a scan about 2 years ago and they said it was nothing but migraines. But I keep having the headaches. My boyfriend wants me to get checked out again, but I think it’s pointless. I also think that it’s fairly impossible for me to have an aneurysm or brain tumor since I already had cancer. The percentage of 27 year olds who had both cancer and an aneuyysm must be amazingly small. I want to confront him with the stats.

My sister has cervical cancer. She has had it for two years I guess but the doctor just decided now it should be taken care of. I am very scared because she is my closest sibling(of 3 others, not including me and her) and I am only 15, and I don’t know what do do or make of it. She said she would be fine, and the doctor said it is early enough to catch, but I know she is scared too. What should I make of this? How should I deal with it.
no she has had it or early stages before i guess. and i didnt mean deal w/ it i meant how to prevent myself from like crying in public cuz i am real scared

I sometimes have a dull pain near where my cervix should be while I’m walking - like I have a cut or something near my cervix and the cut is being rubbed while walking. This happens only for a few days after I have sex with my girlfriend. I don’t enjoy penetration so she couldn’t have cut me or anything. Sometimes my mucus looks slightly bloody after sex as well.
I’ve been tested for HPV and don’t have it. What could be causing my discomfort?
