Did you have asthma first? How many years did you have a cough and clear x-rays?
I’ve had a nasty cough for years and they said it is from asthma. I didn’t use to have asthma until I became an adult. I used to smoke age 16-19. My grandfather died of lung cancer. I wonder how long your lungs are irritated with a cough, asthma, and lung problems before a tumor forms.

Even if you smoked only 5-6 years and not a heavy smoker…
I smoked for 5 years and that was 5 years ago. I have asthma now.

i have a constant headache and paracetamol isn’t helping. i feel dizzy and the pain gets worse in my head when i bend over or move quick
i’v developed an "i don’t care" attitude to nearly everything. i walked out of bball training last night and had a huge argument with my coach over nothing
i’m so unorganised at school aswell. i used to remember everything, gym stuff, lunch money, homework etc. but i just keep forgetting everything now. my grandfather died of a brain tumour when i was about 2 years old. i’m 15 btw.
do you think i should go to the doctors? or is it just a cronic headache that will go away in a couple of weeks??
thanks a bunch guys xx

Okay well I had a blood test done and I have a high blood platelet count, and my mom said it wasn’t too high above average but I’m also on meds that lower your blood platelet count, and even with that I got a high count. So I did research on it and it’s extremely rare to have a high blood platelet count in the first place, especially if you’re young (I’m 16), and I saw that leukemia was one thing that caused it, so I researched that and I have a fair amount of the symptoms such as:
-pale skin
-weight loss
-bad circulation in my hands/feet
-depression/anxiety
-occasional dizziness
-always sleepy
-bleeds easily (I had over a month long period, I have no stds or anything)
-backaches
-underneath my left rib cage I’ll sometimes get a pain for about a week or so and then it will go away for a few months and then come back, go away, come back, etc.
I’m going to the doctor again in a few weeks for more tests but I’m just curious as to what’s most likely wrong with me? I know leukemia is rare and I’m probably overreacting but it scared me when I saw how many symptoms I have. Thanks
I forgot to add I’m also extremely fatigued

My Mum died 13 years ago this Sunday, but my Dad has only just told me something he has kept to himself for a very long time. 3 days ago he told me that after my Mum had had an operation and it was found her Cancer was terminal, she blamed Him for her having it, and even got my little sister to kick him - She didn’t know any better, she was 5!
My Dad went into a deep depression afterwards. I knew he was very down about her dying but I didn’t know to what extent. He was always angry, he still is.
He only told us this after an argument. He is due to get married in July and there are issues around that (they were engaged in November after 3 months for starters!!) and he said he told us this so we could understand why he had to move on.
But why would she say that to him? Even after she said that, he would lie next to her on the bed and tell her he loved her, and my Mum apparently didn’t respond. There is no physical way either could have caused her Cancer: Neither of them smoked or drank for starters.
I know she must have been scared, but it has changed my view of her slightly, and I wish my Dad hadn’t told me…
NO SPAM PLEASE!! You have been reported.
Thank you for the answers so far :o)
Ravens and Brooklins momma: You say you blamed your ex for a long time too… WHY did you? That is what I don’t get. I know she must have been scared (and you aswell) but he did absolutely nothing wrong.
cross-stitch kelly: My Dad didn’t smoke so she wasn’t "exposed" to HIS second hand smoke. Yes, maybe she was from other peopes. So my Dad didn’t do anything.

I know it all depends on gender. But I’m a female taurus, funny enough I have only ever dated male Cancers (not on purpose! Just a freaky coincidence), anywho, my boyfriend now is a Cancer, and we were at his moms for dinner. She had a friend over and we were talking about this. And then she got all annoying, saying that her Male taurus husband and her female scorpio coupling is the BE all and END all of horoscope couples. She just really annoyed me, and just wanted to know if it were true? Thanks so much.

Okay, here is my problem, I’m a teenage girl, but almost every day I think…What if I have cancer or some heart disorder or anything. Don’t ask why I think about it, there is no reason, it’s just I can’t stop thinking that I might have something and I’m always scared. How can I stop thinking about all of this? How to convince myself that I’m alright and it’s just my mind that’s playing jokes on me? Can I get sick of something because I think I might have it or can’t stop thinking about it?
Please help me with an advice, thank you!

My throat has been hurting for a month and my voice is hoarse. Sometimes my throat hurts when I breath or feels dry. I don’t have a cold or a runny nose or allergies or acid reflux. Is it possible to have thyroid cancer if your TSH levels are normal?
