Is it possible i have breast cancer at 16?
Posted on Aug 04, 2008 under breast cancer | 9 CommentsI have a family history of breast cancer, and i found a lump near the bottom of my right breast. It’s been here for a couple of weeks already, and i didn’t think much of it at first since lymph nodes can get swollen at times, but this lumps been hanging around for a while now.
But the thing is I’m only 16, and i read that you usually get breast cancer when you’re older.
So is it possible that i could have breast cancer? How do i really find out?

Posted on Aug 04, 2008 under skin cancer | 2 CommentsSkin Cancer — mole
Posted on Aug 04, 2008 under skin cancer | 3 CommentsMy mother has a mole on her side, she’s had it for as long as i remember. The other day she went to her doctor’s for a regular checkup and was told that she should see a specialist about it. So she did and they removed it. They were worried about it because it had discoloration. It could be cancer or not, they’ll get the results in a few days. How likely is it to be cancer? It doesn’t run in her family, she eats vegatables and takes her vitamins and exercises on a fairly regular basis. I’m just really worried that it might be and that I might lose her. Has anyone here gone through this?

Does Cigerette Smoking Cause Lung Cancer?
Posted on Aug 04, 2008 under Lung cancer | 27 CommentsMy sister insists that no conclusive evidence exists that proves smoking cigerettes causes lung cancer. Is this true?
Don't get me wrong.. I believe it does cause cancer, but her argument is that no studies actually exist that prove it conclusively. That is the basis of my quesiton… I'm far from stupid… I'm only asking for information so I can have an educated discussion with her, with facts to back up my argument.
I'm not looking for openions… I'm looking for references to actual medical documentation.
My quesiton was this.. is it true that there is NO CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE that smoking causes lung cancer. I've read several of the links that have been posted here in the past few minutes and they all say things like "may be" or " is probably" caused by….. I'm talking about CONCLUSIVE medical studies etc.
smoking and lung cancer?
Posted on Aug 04, 2008 under Lung cancer | 1 CommentI know i smoke a lot about 1/2 a pack a day on week days and a pack a day on weekends. on top of that i also smoke 1-2 blunts a day on weekdays and 4-5 a day on weekends. Has they been any studies to show if smoking blunts are any worse for you then smokeing a lot of cigs. I assume since people didnt smoke blunts back int he day there were no long term studies done.
Will i deffinatly get cancer at an earler age. Me and all my friends think were all going to die of lung cancer
