Rather than flowers, I thought I would give to a charity, such as a cancer foundation. Does anyone knows how this works? Any other ideas? Thanks!

My father had gastric cancer 2 yers ago. He had 2/3 of his stomach removed. He has since been cleared of cancer. He tries to eat smaller meals, only drinks water or tea and sticks to meals that arent very greasy. He has severe nausea everyday and throws up about 2 times a week. The doctors dont believe that he is eating well, but since I work with my father, I know he is. They have prescribed just about every anti-nausea medication in the book and nothing works. He tried Marinol but he gets very dizzy and clouded when he needs to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. Almost to the point of falling on the way to the restroom.
-What other problems could be causing the nausea?
-What can we do to help the nausea go away?

of foods? how would the patients have to altar eating habits? why? do you think that people should have this type of surgery to treat life-threatening obesity?

I have been having mild discomfort (daily) in my stomach area for a few months now along with heartburn, nausea and indigestion. My dr blames it on acid reflux without tests. The only thing she did was labs which were all normal. I am so worried it could be cancer. I am a nursing student and I know somewhat about both diseases and know enough that stomach cancer is often mistaken for acid reflux and peptic ulcers. If anyone can shed some light on my tummy issue please respond. I l also know by the time stomach cancer is diagnosed, its late and prognosis is bad.

My friends forced me to go to the doctor a week ago, so I finally went.
-I have diarrhea at least once everyday (this has been happening for about a year now).
-I throw up almost once a week, I even carry a puke bowl in my car just in case. I get nauseous almost everyday.
-I can go a couple days or so without eating, which may or may not have contributed to weight loss (however, the past 5 days or so I have tried eating more and more and haven’t gained any back yet.)
-I fall asleep randomly, I’ve fallen asleep on my bathroom floor, shower floor, and even once at work.
-I don’t feel as strong as I used to be.
-I turn pale randomly. My skin sometimes turns purple.
-I always feel faint, and that I may pass out.
-Sometimes I don’t know where I am or what I just said.
-My stomach hurts so bad sometimes (which can cause me to turn pale) and at times I have to sit down to try and stop the pain.
-I have become extremely moody. 1 minute I can be happy the next, I am angry or sad.
I am seeing the Doctor tomorrow, she will have the results of my blood and stool samples, but I am EXTREMELY nervous for this.
Does it sound like I may have cancer?

So my mom doesnt have stomach cancer but she can develop it. basically she has this virus in her stomach and she said that the doctor basically said that the outer skin from the stomach was being pulled off or something like that. im so worried that i cant even sleep at night. can this lead to stomach cancer? and is it fatal?
what is the chance of surviving if caught early?
yes she is using antibiotics bu tthey said if they dont work than there is a possibilty

When you have H.Pylori, do you get cancer after getting stomach ulcers? Or can you get stomach cancer without ever getting ulcer first?

My friend was distraught over losing her very close friend to stomach cancer at the age of 31. Her friend only had vague symptoms such as heartburn and occasional nausea. The dr. initially told her that it was acid reflux and sent her home. less than two months later she is dead. she never lost any weight and she sure didn’t look sick at all. Does anyone know what the symptoms are for stomach cancer and how we too can avoid from being misdiagnosed? I have loved ones in my family who suffer from symptoms such as hers and the thought of it being stomach cancer sickens me. Any comments would be great. Thanks.
