Early warning signs:
A - asymmetry
B - border
C - color
D - diameter
A – Asymmetry: Benign moles are usually round and symmetrical. Early melanomas have an irregular shape.
B – Borders: Malignant melanomas have irregular edges.
C – Color: Watch for varied shades from brown to black. There can also be blue, red or white areas.
D – Diameter: If a spot is larger than a pencil eraser it should be looked at.
………………I found da answer Hugs

I’m 25 years old. When I was 14, I went to a tanning salon about 4-5 times, a few times, and that was it. I’ve never gone to a tanning salon since then. Two of my family members were recently talking about tanning salons and skin cancer and then they asked me if I ever went I told them yes then they started jinxing me saying I’m gonna get skin cancer and what not. That was 11 years ago and I didn’t even do that frequently, I only did it a few times and that was it. Do I have anything to worry about?

I’m only 15 and about a month ago I noticed this faded pinkish spot on my skin. I have bad blood circulation, very delicate dry and sensitive skin with spider veins, stretched marks, and cellulite (I’m not overweight). It didn’t really bother me so I just ignored it but then later on I started noticing more and they weren’t there before that I noticed. I told my parents about it but they just ignored me and said it’s because I have sensitive skin. I researched skin cancer pictures and some of the pictures that came up looked very similar to the markings I have on my legs. The only difference is that the color isn’t as potent and markings are not as big. My marking are not bleeding, don’t have scabs and I don’t think there itchy cause I usually scratch my skin. Is it normal for me? Should I go to the doctor and have it checked out?
Here are the pictures I googled on skin cancer:

(Ignore the little lines on my legs. I was sitting on top of my legs when I was on the computer chair.)
What do you think? Similar?
Thanks for any help!

This website talks about some rare skin cancer causing virus and it’s the most similar picture I found to my markings.

I am giving an informative speech about skin cancer. I need help on organizing this speech. I was thinking about talking about how skin cancer is the most common form of cancer. Why tanning beds are bad. And who is at higher risk for skin cancer.
But I need more ideas to talk about during this speech??! Help.
I also need a good attention getter.

I am a few days shy of 18 years old. I’ve had a mole removed before due to the possibility of malignancy.
This mole thing on my ear is pale pinky brown. a little rough and unevenly shaped. It looks a bit like a bubble at about 3 or 4 mm high. It’s about 1cm now width wise in total. I’ve had this mole for years and it hasn’t grown before. its located on the anti-tragdus of my ear, It’s wrapped around my cartilage.
Could this be cancer?
How would my doctor remove it?
Thank you.

I have this scaly patch on my elbow. It’s like the color of my skin and it’s like little bumps. It is visible but only looks like dry skin most of the time. In the summer time it is itchy and you can see the little red bumps. I have no idea what it is and I’ve used lotion and it doesn’t help. It’s been there for about 2 years. My dad does have skin cancer so it is a possibility I do also.
I have no idea what it is and I’ve done reseach and all of the things I looked up it’s not….

Alittle background. I’m a 14 year old black male, pretty average. Now, I’ve always had somewhat dry skin, a few patches of dryness here and there that would go away. However, recently I noticed a small slightly darker patch of skin on my chest. No pain or anything, just kinda there.
I also recently got a not that dark, but darker patch of dry-looking skin on my left arm, it doesn’t look cancerous though.
Heres the thing, I don’t have like an above-average exposure to the sun, I don’t tan or anything like that. And its winter where I am right now so not that much sun. I do take really hot showers though, could that be causing it? is it just dead skin cells or something? Like most 14 year olds, I am going through puberty so are all these tiny skin changes just one of the many weird things that happens sometimes? along with acne and stuff like that? or could it be more serious.
Thanks!

Two weeks ago, my husband had a strange looking mole removed from his arm. The DR said it looked benign but removed it anyway. Last Friday, we got a call saying there were spots on the mole and the DR told my husband he wants him to go to a dermatologist to get skin around where the mole was removed, so they can check it and be sure.
Has anyone else experienced this? What’s the procedure like?
