My 10 year old Beagle probably has lymphoma. We’re taking him into the vet tomorrow (I already have a morning appointment) but I am as positive as I can be without having a biopsy yet that it is lymphoma. He has had extremely swollen lymph nodes for the last few days, is losing appetite, is having trouble swallowing, and more. I have been searching and searching for a sign that it is something else, but I really don’t think it is. I am not one to overreact and automatically assume the worst, but it seems it really is the worst this time.
He has had many health problems in the five years we have had him, probably thanks, in part, to being chained up and neglected the first five years of his life, and I do not think my family is going to choose to have him undergo chemotherapy. He already has several ongoing sicknesses that have been detracting from his quality of life, and these would make his chances of living long with chemo slim.
I just want to know what it was like for other people whose pets have had lymphoma, particularly anyone who didn’t choose chemotherapy. I’ve never lost a pet bigger than a dwarf hamster, and I want to hear what anyone has to say about the experience of having to put your dear friend to sleep. What did you do to make him happy towards the end? What would you have done differently if you could go back and change anything?
We took him in, and the vet confirmed that it is cancer. We’d have to perform a biopsy to learn exactly what form and how to treat, but we are just going to make him comfortable and happy for as long as possible until he has too much discomfort, then put him to sleep.
My best guy friend has non-hodgkins lymphoma and he is 16. He just told me today his platets are low, what does that mean for him? He is in stage 3 of this cancer, please help.
and are discharging. Anyone heard of this before?

i know i got a 6 month supply of pills of them about 5 yrs ago , then about 2 yrs after i received a email saying that they were bein sued and i would receive money back , but never did although i did reply , and now i have lymphoma , i have no cancer in my family and the dr. told me ive maybe had it 2 yrs so this is the time frame i could have got it.???? anyone know of anything please give feedback???? thanx im doin chemo now.
So my 11 year old dog has been diagnosed with lymphoma and has only 4-7 weeks left to live and we have to make a decision of what to do very soon. The prednisone would help with the swelling but he would only live for about 1-2 months.. the vet says that with the chemotherapy, he could live up to a year. however, i’m aware that during the last few months the chemo makes the dog very, very ill. quality of life or quantity of life? i’m not sure what to do , your suggestions/stories would be greatly appreciated!
My mom has been having more and more swollen lymph nodes in her groin since the end of March. It started with one and she now has three. They are painless and two are round and one is kind of more oval-y. She also experiences night sweats. My mom is not typically a person that gets very hot so night sweats are very unusual for her (and she isn’t hot when she gets them either). She has also experienced a bit of weight loss but that could just be due to other things since its so minimal. She is also tired more often. She does not have other symptoms of Hodgkin’s disease such as fever or itchiness.
My mom has high blood pressure (due to genetics) but its completely under control. She takes medication for this as well as half a pill to increase her serotonin levels. She is 45, and has a BMI of about 19.6 so she isn’t over weight or underweight. She is also pretty active, jogs 30 min each day, walks for about an hour with my dad and we go biking or play tennis in the summer (or skiing in the winter).
Our doctor first gave her antibiotics that did not help and she had an ultrasound last week that we are awaiting results for. I was just wondering in the mean time what other diseases can cause these symptoms other than Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma?
Her hair is now almost fallen off and I want to purchase a wig. Does anyone know if that’s the only thing that she needs as far as, Does she need like something to go under the wig? Any advise?
Thank you@ new and loved
