Well I live with someone who smokes (my mum) and she’s smoked even when she was pregnant with me, I’m 15 and she still smokes. Sometimes I find it’s hard to breathe.
15 years of being around my mum smoking, what effect has this done to me?
Have I got asthma or has my lungs become like mine?
Also my mum has been smoking since she was around 23 and she’s 48 now so what effect has this done on her lungs, how long do you think she has left?
Thanks
I want to know because I want to make the last moments of her life the best ones. I want my mother to be able to see grandchildren, i dont want to be taking my kids to a gravestone tbh, not to grieve like i did over my granddad.

My friend told me that 80% of the South African population who used a vuvuzela will get lung cancer and die in the next year. It sounds quite believable and apparently Desmond Tutu and Ringo Starr have gone down with it.
I’m worried that it doesn’t become a virus and spread throughout the whole world as it is the "world" cup after all.
Thanks

Because I am a smoker with a bit of a smoker’s cough, who recently coughed up some blood, My Dr did a chest x-ray. He said it came back clean, but that if the cough persisted he would use some sort of scope to look deeper. !st..how worried should I be? 2nd is this normal?

My bedroom seems to be very dusty, but with more than just dust; I noticed of little "fibers" going around, like tiny floating strings in the air.
Whenever I pull the window blinds open during a sunset/rise, The room becomes illuminated a certain way, and I can see thousands of these dust/fiber particles in the air, usually impossible to see. I think the fibers come of bedding and clothing….like the little tiny "hairs"you’ll see on a cotton shirt.
Can these cause lung damage?
Andhow do I get rid of those "invisible" fibers in the air?
My car is very dirty, and I can see the same little fibers floating i nthe air in the right lighting. Am I breathing this stuff in for all these years, giving myself silicosis or some lung disease?
