I am going in next week for my 6th session of 3 day rounds of FCR chemo. And hopefully my last.
How many rounds of chemo on average did any survivors need, and how long after the chemo did it take to be claimed you were in remission?
Also, what do I need to expect for continuing maintenance to combat my CLL?
CLL is an adults leukemia, that effects adults only.
There are other types of leukemia, just ike there are many other cancers.
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

my best friend Karlyn is looking for a bone marrow transplant and I have the right match. We are only 14 and I cant seem to find how old you have to be to go through the procedure.. Im up for the Challenge and I know of the sacrifices but I want to always be apart of her… But I want to know how old I have to be before I tell my parents.
but I know that its 18 when you can register..

okay this might be a stupid kind of thing to put on yahoo answers, but by any chance are any of you oncologists who have worked with childhood leukemia cases or ALL leukemia? i have a few questions i’d like you to answer if you have the time:
What is a typical cancer patient like?
How many leukemia patients do you see each year?
What are the feelings you have when you have to tell people they have leukemia?
Is this a difficult job to have?
Is there a way to prevent leukemia?
thanks for your help.
