HELP! could i possibly have a brain tumour?

Posted on Mar 11, 2010 under Brain Tumors | 5 Comments

i have a constant headache and paracetamol isn’t helping. i feel dizzy and the pain gets worse in my head when i bend over or move quick :( i’v developed an "i don’t care" attitude to nearly everything. i walked out of bball training last night and had a huge argument with my coach over nothing :( i’m so unorganised at school aswell. i used to remember everything, gym stuff, lunch money, homework etc. but i just keep forgetting everything now. my grandfather died of a brain tumour when i was about 2 years old. i’m 15 btw.
do you think i should go to the doctors? or is it just a cronic headache that will go away in a couple of weeks??

thanks a bunch guys xx

Has any one ever had Brain Tumors (Cancerous) removed surgically? see below?

I’ve gone through the classes and seen the movies and have my surgery in less than 2 weeks. I am aware I’ll be "awake" but be under general anesthesia. I am a Cancer Survivor already but never "Brain Tumors". My main question is…does it hurt and do you feel them removing them? How bad is the pain after the surgery? They said it’s a 60% survival rate…do you find that accurate for what you went through? Any information would be helpful. I have my surgery on the 24th. Thank you in advance. One tumor is in the top frontal lobe the other in the back center lobe.

I am having surgery in 2 weeks to remove 2 brain tumors. What can I do to help convince my Husband and my?

family that I am strong enough to make it through this without all their fussing over me. I am a Cancer survivor and know that staying grounded, having faith and keeping peaceful is the best thing you can do for yourself. How can I explain to them without hurting their feelings that they are scaring me and stressing me more than helping me?
I appreciate everything they do but they are scaring me more than either of the other times I’ve ever had Cancer. I need to be able to tell them I need "space’ without hurting them.

I haven’t had an mri yet. i have started to have some weird thing happen to me lately.
For ex vomiting, nausea, blurred vision, headaches and some other things.
Is it possible that they might not be able to see it because its too small or something?

Do wireless routers cause brain tumours? Need evidence.?

Posted on Mar 08, 2010 under Brain Tumors | 4 Comments

My friend has thrown away his wireless router because he thinks they cause brain tumours.

I disagree but need proof. Anyone have a peer reviewed papers on this topic or something else to show he doesn’t need a 20m CAT5 cable to go on the internet?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Can someone describe the symptoms of a brain tumor?

Posted on Mar 08, 2010 under Brain Tumors | 1 Comment

I’m 18 and concerned. I’ve been having constant headaches that feel like my skull’s too small for a few months for a while, including a real stabbing one last night in what seems like the slightly larger side of my head. I’ve had a somewhat reduced appetite recently. My coordination and balance are a little poor: haven’t fallen down for no reason yet but I feel wobbly. I’ve been experiencing nervous tics. My limbs feel a little numb.

There are alternate explanations for all of these, including the ADHD meds I’m taking, the stress I’ve been feeling, and the contacts I haven’t been wearing. If someone has any special insight on what degree of symptoms I should be looking out for, it would be appreciated.

Do I have a brain tumor?!?!? HELP!! 10 POINTS!!I?

Posted on Mar 08, 2010 under Brain Tumors | 3 Comments

I’m really worried! I’ve recently had these symptoms:

Nausea: I woke up this morning feeling a bit nauseous, although I WAS a bit last night. But I was fine through the course of the day. This is the first time this has happened since, probably last year.

Headache: I have been getting more frequent headaches. I have one right now, but I was just crying, so, that might be the reason. They don’t usually last long. They go away with Tylenol, and sleep. I have had probably, 3 or 4 in the last 30 days.

Tingly hands: I cracked my knuckles during school this morning, and all of a sudden, both my entire hands went all tingly for about 5 minutes. I was really scared.

Could I have a brain tumor? Or are those just common temporary issues?
One more symptom:
I got home from school today and I suddenly got this, almost like a buzzing sensation in my head, for about 10 seconds, and I got dizzy. This has happened before, but that was about 2 months ago. What is that all about?

Brain tumor information?

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, it is cancerous, and roughly smaller than an apple. He is at Sloan Kettering and will be undergoing surgery within the next couple of days. Any info that anyone has on recovery time and things of that nature is appreciated.
