yes.. a high white blood cells count is an indicator

  2. Nurse For 20 Years Says:

No always. It depends on what type of cancer it is, how advanced it is, and many other variables.

  3. R H Says:

No. not at all. They test for specific things in blood work.

The common misconception on blood work is that they check for everything (such as STD’s, infections, cancer etc.)

Not sure if cancer can be checked by bloodwork, but i know that doctors aren’t going to test for something unless you ask them to.

go to the doctor and yess/no

  5. ExeneC Says:

No, but it is a good indication that something is wrong and often alerts the doctor to perform further tests. For most cancers, a biopsy, a procedure where cells are taken from the area in question and examined, is diagnostic.

no unless you already had cancer they have a blood test for called CA12 but it is maybe would be could be need further testing

It can ussualy indicate Leukemia, since that is a cancer of the blood… and sometimes indicated lymphomas, but thats about it.

Ussualy people with early stage cancers would not have unusual blood counts. So its not an accurate diagnosis in most cases.

  8. AKA Inverse Mushroom Cloud Says:

Almost always? Nope, not even frequently.

It will show blood and marrow cancers.

Some specific antigen tests can indicate tumors, but many of them are not specific or have high false positive rates.
