Why does cervical cancer have the least amount of symptoms?

Stage 3b cervical cancer treatment question…?

So I know someone who told me that they had stage 3 cervical cancer. When I asked about her treatment she said they took part of the cervix, gave her a low dose chemo pill,pain killers and a high dose antibiotic. I may sound ignorant but shouldn’t they have done radiotherapy or even a hysterectomy and why would she need an antibiotic??
She’s my sister….and she’s had two children since….and fibromyalgia,cfs kidney problem, liver problems and now claiming to have leikemia…just wanted to know about the radiation since everything Ive read indicates that as part of the treatment and no mention of antibiotics anywhere….

questions about cervical cancer?

i just found out my girlfriend has cervical cancer, we have plans to get married and have kids, but not soon, seeing how im still finishing up my last few yrs of college, i estimate bout 5 yrs or so. but i was wondering, will having a child put her, or the child in harms way? and i hate to have to ask this, but i dont really know much about cancer, but i do know people sometimes…die. so what i was wanting to ask, what are the chances of someone with cervical cancer to not live? her doctor told her there was a way to remove the cancer, and that was by a hisderectermy. is this true? any answers, advice, and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Well i had a biopsy done a little over a week ago because of some abnormal cells on my cervix. I should be getting the results back this week but im just curious. I was wondering some symptoms of each? Usually around my period my cervix (or that area) hurts. Like pressure kinda. Symptom?

Do I have any risk to have cervical cancer?

I didn’t make sex with any person except my husband.My husband did the same thing.But doctor told my cervix is ceverely infected.I performed pep test 9 monts back.Result was ok but my Ectocervix was grossly ulcerated and deformed.Do I have any risk to have cervical cancer?

Does the HPV virus always cause cervical cancer or any other cancer?

Or is it just certain cases or… what?
I have a wart on my finger… this virus that causes it is called the HPV. does this mean i am likley to develop it?

Could this be Breast cancer?

Okay well I know everyone has one breast bigger than the other But my right one is about a cup size bigger, not only that but for the past few days my Lymph nodes in my right armpit have been very swollen and very sore. Is this a sign of breast cancer? Or is the fact that the lymph nodes are on the same side as the larger breast a coincidence? Any Ideas?
Im 14 years old and No it does not run in my family.

Can my employer not allow me time off to go to a dr.’s visit for breast cancer?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer recently. My regular doctor referred me to a surgeon and they just called me wanting me to come in next week to discuss my options. My boss isn’t willing to let me off. I’ve read online that cancer is considered a disability. Is this legal?
The dr wants me to come in on 2/2/10 and I’m already taking a half day to go to my heart doctor.
I do need to have a lump removed. I’m sure they want to remove it ASAP, but I need to discuss all my options at the dr’s visit.
Can he deny me time off to go even if I haven’t given enough notice? The surgeon wants me to come in next week and our schedule is already out.

what symptoms do you have with breast cancer?

My dr found a lump in my breast the other day. Now , I’m getting all these test to see if I have breast cancer. I have a very good chance of having it , so yes this is a scary time. I know you don’t really have any signs or symptoms before hand but it’s cancer so do you feel sick? For about 4 months now I have been extremely tired/exhausted. At first it was no big deal but each day it gets worse & worse. For about a month now I can hardly go. I just figured I must not be getting enough rest or something. Since the lump was found I started to wonder if the way I’ve been feeling could be related. The breast that doesn’t have a lump for about 2 weeks now has been very sore. I read online @ webmd that is a symptom too , but I don’t know.
I’d like to only hear from those that know what they are talking about , maybe they’ve been through this. Caring answers only please! Thanks!
