Cysts and enlarged ovaries don’t always mean cancer, does it?

I’m getting it checked into, but I want to know the chances it actually is cancer, or something else causing cysts/enlarged ovaries.

MOST of the time it is not cancer. Get checked out for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).

no not necessarily I have a ovarian cyst, actually having surgery this thursday it doesn’t mean cancer but they still have to check to rule it out, it is done for everything. so don’t be worried just do what your dr tells you and go from there. Good luck. god bless

No it doesn’t always mean cancer, they are quite a common symptoms for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which can be managed by diet, exercise and therapies such as taking certain contraceptive pills to alter the hormone imbalances which cause the syndrome. I have PCOS and had a tennis ball sized tumour on one ovary removed which was thankfully a benign mass and they said that is most commonly the case, that they are benign.
