I currently live in Maryland. I plan to move to Greeneville Tennessee in near future. I am a Breast Cancer survivor. "I’m currently dealing w/Lymph-edema" I am currently on a program called "The State of Maryland Breast & Cervical Cancer Program"- Thur the state of Maryland that I was approved for, and twice a year I see lymph-edema Therapist that checks me out and takes measurements for my arm and orders my special made sleeve & glove for me twice a year or more, and manual message sometimes when I need it. My question is does Tenn have this program or something similar? I currently live on Medicare and have no Insurance that will cover these medically necessary garments that must be replaced every 6 months. It also covers Mammograms, MRI, Cat Scan, anything to do with the Breast, Lymph-edema, or Cervical Cancer ? Can someone please give me some info on this as I will be dealing with Lymph-edema for the rest of my life. I hope and Pray no more Cancer of any kind. But I do need to find a program that I can go to when necessary.
Thank You

I feel bad for saying it because they’re earning money for a good cause, and, actually, I can’t even articulate why they are so annoying. But why make a big party to raise money for such a terrible disease?

A friend had been in remission for stomach cancer - which returned 9 months later. She is taking oral chemotherapy but refusing any aggressive treatment. I have noticed lately that she has had a lot of forgetfulness. Is it possible the cancer has spread to the brain? Also, what is her survival chances?
I should add that the forgetfulness is severe - she recalls events in a manner they did not happen, she also has occ headaches.

Is it possible to get skin cancer from showers? I always have the shower on a extremely high setting and i shower daily, mostly twice a day and although i have the temperature on extremely high i still feel cold in the shower, no idea why. The shower room steams up very quickly. When i get out, steam is coming off my skin. Literally. Recently, i have had scabs on my body for about 2 weeks that wont go and also my temperature keeps soaring then dropping. When i get out of the shower, my skin is completely red and looks burnt. Any ideas whats wrong? Can you get skin cancer from showers? Advice please. Thanks again.

Today I found a small red spot on my upper thigh. I was wondering if it was a bug-bite, or something like that, but I was worried that it could be skin cancer. It was like a bump, but not like a pimple. Its not scabby, and it feels like regular skin. The thing is that I don’t go outside alot and I never wear shorts. I always wear jeans, so that part of my body is never, ever in the sun. And im 12 years old, so…could I have skin cancer and hat should I do? My family doesn’t have enough money to get it removed…
