Breast Cancer………?
Posted on Nov 03, 2009 under breast cancer |Now I don’t necessarily think this is breast cancer, I just have some questions…
Anyways, I’m not very educated on breast issues, even though I should be and at this point, don’t have the money to go to the doctor unless I really think there is a problem.
I’m very flat chested. I’m an adult and I wear a 34 A in bras. I have this large lump or hard thing in both my breasts and I’m not thinking it’s normal.
This may not make sense, but if I put my thumb on top of my breast and the rest of my fingers on the bottom and squeeze it, I can make it go pretty flat and not feel anything, but if I move my thumb lower I can feel a hard bump. The hard things are somewhat large and are in the middle of my breast and extend out a little, if that helps any.
I know I sound like a dumb adult right now, but I really just need some opinions on what this could be. Thank you so much ![]()

Breast cancer has nothing to do with breast size.
80% of breast lumps are NOT cancer.
Breast cancer rarely occurs simultaneously in both breasts.
Age is a factor in breast cancer risk, it is uncommon under 40 rare under 30 and virtually unheard of under 20. You sound young, whih lowers your risk.
Squeezing the breasts is not a recommended way to feel for lumps.
You need to do a bit of research, learn what is "normal" for breasts in general and yours in particular and learn how to check for changes.

You don’t say how old you are, but I’m guessing early 20s.
The chances of breast cancer are almost zero in under 25s, and fewer than 0.1% of all cases occur in under 30s. Only 5% of those diagnosed are under 40 and most (80%) are over 50.
The chances of breast cancer occurring in the same spot in both breasts at once are extremely remote.
Your breast size doesn’t affect your risk of breast cancer.
Most breast lumps, even in women over 50, are not cancerous.
Breasts tend to be pretty lumpy things; if you try to examine them using your fingers and thumbs you are always going to find lumps. The correct way is with the flat of your hand. This link shows you how:

I just have to know if you started developing breast a little older than other girls. Most girls start around 11-12. I remember and in the middle of both breast at 12 yrs old were the same lumps you are talking about. It meant that your breast were developing and this was a hormonal lump. Sometimes it hurt if it was banged or bumped. Your breast are small. Perhaps they are still growing. My older sister was 17 and she could go around without a t-shirt because she never even begun to develop until she 18 1/2. Then she started. The Dr’s didn’t know why. She also started menstruation at 18. Her hormones were really sleeping before they decided to take off. That’s why I asked. I don’t believe you have cancer at 20. Anything is possible and all I can tell you is that if you feel that uncomfortable about it, you should call your Dr and get it checked out. It will make you feel a lot better. Good luck and be blessed
