My cervix is sore. It has been feeling strange for a couple of weeks now so I know it’s not due to ovulation or pms. I do have an IUD but everything seems to be in place (I’ve had it for over 4yrs without any problems). Could it be cancer? I have been trying to get into a clinic for a pap but because of the H1N1 panic, the clinics are turning me away as they are too busy. I have a gyno appointment but it’s not scheduled until DECEMBER! If it’s cancer I know it’s REALLY bad to wait.

Now I don’t necessarily think this is breast cancer, I just have some questions…
Anyways, I’m not very educated on breast issues, even though I should be and at this point, don’t have the money to go to the doctor unless I really think there is a problem.
I’m very flat chested. I’m an adult and I wear a 34 A in bras. I have this large lump or hard thing in both my breasts and I’m not thinking it’s normal.
This may not make sense, but if I put my thumb on top of my breast and the rest of my fingers on the bottom and squeeze it, I can make it go pretty flat and not feel anything, but if I move my thumb lower I can feel a hard bump. The hard things are somewhat large and are in the middle of my breast and extend out a little, if that helps any.
I know I sound like a dumb adult right now, but I really just need some opinions on what this could be. Thank you so much

My mom is afraid of having mammogram. She felt a lump on her left breast before 20 years, it went away quick. And now before around 5 years she felt another lump on her right one and she felt it shrunk. now its very small in size. She had yellow discharge from one of her breast before around 7 years. She have no pain, very strong and normal 53 years old woman. Now she is about to get her check up, I am the one who forced her to get the check up. I am afraid what could be the odds of her being diagnosed with something bad or something better like fibrocystic…? As soon as they feel the lump will they have to biopsy her right away or can they tell if its malignant or benign without biopsy?

I just saw a question that Spreedog answered. Everyone knows he is an Oncologist, and I never doubt his word, So, I’m hoping he or someone can answer this. Spreedog asked "what stage was the first breast cancer in 1984?" Breast cancer has been around longer than that.. My grandmother died of breast cancer in 1969, There after, all my mother’s sister also got breast cancer. So Spreedog, please tell us what you mean. Was this a type O? Thank you
Oh my gosh, you’re right. I went back and reread the question. I read it without thinking of the one asking about her cancer 25 yrs ago. OK, where’s that hole I can crawl in now. Thanks guys. I really goofed this time.

Everything’s sexist if MEN don’t let WOMEN do it, but it’s not the other way around, right?
