This gets a little complicated, but please bare with me…I have a friend whose wife died a few years back from cervical cancer. She had HPV which is how she got the cervical cancer. About a year later, my guy friend began to date another good friend of mine, and they have been dating for about 2 years. During a conversation, my girl friend mentioned that they didn’t use condoms when they have sex. I reminded her of how his former wife died and expressed great concern for her well being. I have always assumed that my guy friend must also have the virus from his deceased wife and now I assume my girl friend might also have this virus. What are the chances that she can get the virus from him? I have tried doing online searches, but haven’t really found any helpful information. My friend, although I love her to death, isn’t terribly responsible and admitted she had never even thought about this. Does anyone know much about it? Any information would be appreciated.

i have a few questions about Cervical Cancer / Cervical cancer Jab.
my gf (18) is soon to have the jab but she is worried that the jab could cause problems is the future.
ive heard having alot of sexual partners is more of a high risk of getting cervical cancer.
But what about having alot of sex with only 1 person?
me and my gf have only been with each other. but we have had alot of sex. can this be a cause ??
my other question is how long has the jab been tested for?
and i heard a rumour that having the jab could cause infertility in the future.
please help me with my questions as i am worried.

I’m a 21 year old female and have been sexually active for about 6 years. Recently I had my first pap smear but only because my doctor recommended it, as I had bleeding during intercourse. Like alot of my friends, I kept putting off having a pap smear and now I regret it. My pap result showed that I had between CIN 2 and CIN 3, HSIL (high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion) and my doctor confirmed I had HPV. I’m worried that I’ve had this for quite awhile and I know that bleeding during intercourse is a symptom of cervical cancer. I have to wait a month to have my colposcopy and possibly a biopsy. Also i’m worried that it’s progressed because my immune system is fairly weak and I’m a smoker. Does anyone have any information to calm my stress levels?
