The best thing to do is to ask the doctor who is treating your diabetes if it is OK to drink the Ensure Plus since the calories involved may influence your medications.It also depends on how high your blood sugars run & what meds you are on (oral diabetic pills or insulin).Your caloric intake also is involved for if you are not eating well & taking the Ensure instead it makes a difference too.If your appetite is poor & the ensure makes up most of your intake, he probably needs to know.
