Should I be worried about breast cancer?
Posted on Jun 23, 2009 under breast cancer |Okay, well I noticed that my nipples change texture alot. Sometimes they are puffed up and the peaks of them are sunken in with the rest of the nipple, leaving a smooth edge. Then when I rub them they come back up. Other times my nipples are scrunched up and are goosebumped. They also get a little crusted sometimes. I noticed that most of these changes happen in certain temperatures. Am I just growing or is something wrong with me?

You do not have symptoms of breast cancer and if you are under 50 it is not likely for it to occur. It’s normal for our breasts to react to temperature changes and hormones they are supposed to do that.

What you describe is perfectly normal.
And as it's clear from your Q&A that you're of school age, the chances that you have breast cancer are close to zero; it's almost unheard of in under 20s and fewer than 0.1% of those ddiagnosed are uder 30. Most are over 50.
