Can Freckles Form Into Skin Cancer?
Posted on Jun 01, 2009 under skin cancer |I have had these 2 freckles on my stomach for as long as I can remember, so they're not new but recently since I've had all my friends over for a hot tub/pool party they've kind of become larger and they don't look the same as they used to. Is it just the hot tub chemicals or is this something I should even worry about? It's been 3 days since I've been in the pool though and they haven't changed.

I have a lot of freckles and my dermatologist says, "when it doubt, check it out"…. best rule of thumb, a lot of things can cause freckles to change… better to check it out than to worry about it.

Simple freckles do not. However, flat moles containing form pigment of a bluish-black colour and looking like dark freckles, may become cancerous and should be checked periodically.
