Can deodorant cause breast cancer?

Posted on Feb 27, 2009 under breast cancer | 3 Comments

I have very sensitive skin and I cannot use a lot of deodorant brands because they cause me to have allergic reactions.

I'm not sure what chemicals are in deodorants but I'm pretty sure that they are very harmful by the way that they make me feel.

However I started using lady speed stick some years ago and I started to notice that when my armpits would touch my breasts I would feel pain.

When the deodorant touched my breasts they started to feel unusually tender and I was feeling pain.

I started to wonder if deodorant could potentially be the cause of breast cancer.

Any comments?

My friend as skin cancer?

Posted on Feb 27, 2009 under skin cancer | 2 Comments

But I've never seen any signs of it. His skin color looks fine but aparantly he's not. He went to the doctor for his acne and when they took a sample it came back positive for skin cancer. Then something about 90%, I don't remember though.
Do you think he'll be able to survive? (He's 15, by the way.)

Is there possibility to have Lymphnode but harmless after Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Treatment.?

Posted on Feb 27, 2009 under lymphoma | 1 Comment

Please Professional Answers.

My Mom is Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma patient she had her third chemo and there was 60% cancer reduction on the scanning report and we continue giving her chemo so after 8th chemo there was very little reduction, her doctor says its possible to have lymph node but harmless means there is no disease in it but it is just piece of mass cause by non hodgkin lyphoma, so we will keep eye on it for the next 6 months , the problem is this we dont have PET SCAN here to find out if the lymph node is still growing or not.

So is it possible to have lymph nodes left but no disease after non hodgkin lymphoma treatment?

Lung cancer in dogs and what to watch for?

Posted on Feb 27, 2009 under Lung cancer | 7 Comments

This is very difficult to ask so only sincere answers please.
One of my Flat Coats has been sick for a while and I was already nervous about the outcome of the cyst I had removed from him, especially after another appeared causing me to bring him back to the vet.
An x-ray was done of his chest and it turned out that he has lung cancer.
I asked the vet what would be the signs to look for to know when the end was getting close as his breathing is already quite deep.
I don`t want him to suffer and he is not displaying any signs of pain and still is quite spry still at times.
The vet said that I will know, and left in tears as he has known him all his life.
This all made me fall apart as well as he is such a special dog.
I watched him last night laying down and it almost seemed as though he could not fall asleep. His eye`s kept opening and i was wondering if he could not fall asleep because he was in pain, I just don`t know.
Cancer is quite predominate in Flat Coats and I have experienced my share of cancers in the breed.
So besides the labored breathing can anyone in the know tell me what I should be paying attention to as I have never lost a dog to lung cancer, and I want my boy to go with all the dignity he deserves.
God Bless
Some of you have answered like this but I do not want to wait to the point where as he can no longer walk across the yard or can no longer get up under his own power.
Dignity, Being able to carry himself, still showing signs of a good life.
Surely their must be something to watch for before it gets that far.
