I am a 29 yr old F with hemmoraging cysts, with small blood clots around them…ovarian cancer?

A yr ago I was diagnosed with IBS but have always disaggreed with the diagnosis because I got better for a few months, eating anything I wanted for 5 mos with no symptoms and then had a recuurence of symptoms just out of the blue, for mos now even eating only fiber cereal and strawberries I have gotten no better. Anyway when they initially diagnosed me with “IBS” the cat scan showed a hemangioma on my liver as well as one cyst on right ovary. I followed up in end of March 08 with ultrasound still seeming harmless hemangioma as well as small considered water filled cyst right ovary. Yesterday repeat ultrasound showed the hemangioma on my liver had grown some, as well as now I have sveral small hemmoraging blood filled cysts, with small blood clots on both ovaries, instead of just the right, dr said it is either endometriosis or ovarian cancer..I feel soo young to have cancer, am soo scared, and think they may have nissed diagnosed me with IBS in the G.I. dept all along. My symptoms include occasional bloating, tightening all across my lower abdomen, and a fist like feeling in my lower back, bottom area, however it is usually, not always, after I eat something. I would like to hear from anyone with endometriosis, or ovarian cancer, and what ur opinion is, my dr also ran the CA 125, as my great grandmother died of ovarian cancer. Please help!! I go back for repeat ultrasound in 4 wks after my next menstrual period. Also found was a very smal 2cm cyst on right kidney.

activities for children with cancer?

for community service, a bunch of students and I from university have joined this club that is entirely devoted for cancer patients. Each week, we go visit the children at the hospital. Conditions there are very poor and the sanitation is terrible, so we try to make the children as happy as possible with our visits. For a couple of weeks we have been making them color some coloring pages and paly with play dough. I want a bit of more variety, something that is affordable but also fun…any ideas?

does hemicolectomy during appendectomy mean cancer?

My dad has just come out of hospital after having a appendectomy. without realising, he has had appendicitis on and off for the last 6 months. when he went down to the doctor initially they thought it was muscular and sent him away. he had another attack a week later and went back to the docs, who sent him straight to the hospital for a 2nd opinion. he was booked in immediately and was told his appendix was so inflamed and in the wrong place. he had a appendectomy within hours and was in surgery for 5 hours. while down there, they had concerns as they saw some infection on his bowel where his appendix had been rubbing against. they took about a foot in length off of his bowel. he was stitched up and sent back to ward and discharged a week later and was told he had had a hemicolectomy. he has a 7″ scar running across his belt line from the surgery. i am worried as from what i have read a hemicolectomy is only done when there is cancer. the items taken out of his body are being tested and the results will be back in another 7 days. does hemicolectomy always mean cancer? is this a normal procedure?
for info, my dad is 43 years of age and was upto this date fit and well.
