Quit smoking, its that simple. If you dont you have a serious risk of cancer, especially at your age with undeveloped lungs.

Please please please quit now. Ten years ago today I sat and held my 55 year old dad’s hand and watched him slowly fight for air like he was drowning. It was painful and horrifying for him. He didn’t get to retire. My kids never got to meet him. To them he is just a picture hanging on the wall. It sucks. A year ago, my wife’s best friend died the same way. She was 42 years old. She had a five year old son who now doesn’t have a mom. You lay there and slowly drown. It’s the most awful way to go. Just quit. You can do it. I smoked three packs a day from the time I was 15 until I was 32. I quit. All it took for me was watching my father die, and the horrified look on his face as he drew his last breath haunts me to this day. Just stop. If not for you, for your children you are yet to have, for the grandchildren you will probably never meet if you continue. Do it for them. You don’t know them yet, they most likely don’t exist yet, but they will. They will love you and miss you dearly when you are gone.

I assume from your post you have now stopped smoking. if you continue on like that, you should be fine. the body has amazing regenerative powers. look it up online, health improves in as little as one day. also the fact that you’re so young should help immensely - in maybe 5 or 10 years it will be like you never smoked at all.
but remember all of this only applies if you quit - and keep it that way.

Please quit, if you haven't already. No matter what any of your friends and peers may say, smoking isn't cool. It's bad for your health and dries skin out so that people look old before their time. Look after yourself and stop smoking NOW so that you can have a long healthy future.

Just quit. I smoked for a year when I was only 13 years old, and I quit, it’s not easy, but I was thinking of my health, and now, It’s much easier, think of all that disgusting tar on your lungs, and your smelly breath and yellow teeth… It’s not nice.

Yes not just lung cancer but other forms of cancer. Bladder cancer is directly linked to smoking. My uncle has that and now has to have his bladder removed (providing it hasn't spread elsewhere) he will live with a hole in his side with part of his intestines resected and created to form a tube attached to his skin and his urine will drain into a bag he has to carry strapped to his side. That's the GOOD news…if he survives.
Smoking puts pounds of toxins into your body. It affects all your organs as the tar and 200 chemicals stick to your lungs, clog them, and then filter into your bloodstream and spread throughout your body. Eventually your genetic composition kicks in and whatever genetic weakness you have is what the abuse of smoking will zero in on…aside from the fact it hardens your arteries, thickens them with plaque and causes heart disease (most people are 75 percent blocked by the time they have their first heart attack) we all know that all that poison certainly can't do you much good.
And my grandkids got to witness their fathers dad die of emphysema, where his lungs slowly choked him to death and that was DIRECTLY linked to his smoking. He had suffered 3 heart attacks too before that…he smoked right until he could no longer breathe too. Addict to the end.
