If you’re a Cancer, would you be offended if one of your friends told you they needed space?

Here’s the deal, My best friend is a Cancer, he lives out of state, we keep in touch. Well, not only do we text at least 200 times a day, we always have our nightly phone call as well. But lately I mean he has just been calling me four or 5 times a day just to tell me about something funny that happened and while it’s sweet that he’s keeping in touch it’s also kind of suffocating to me (I’m an Aries.)

So, today I answered his fourth call kind of huffy because I was thinking “what now?” and he picked up on it, but I talked to him anyways for a bit and went back to my homework. Then later he called AGAIN to tell me a story about something that just happened, but I was busy doing my project so I didn’t answer but I said “I’ll call you later as long as I don’t come off clingy.” and we were joking he was like “I just don’t know I need my space” (also joking) but then I did call a few hours later and he didn’t answer and didn’t text me about what he was doing like he usually would if he missed my call.

So do you think I hurt his feelings? How do you tell someone you need space?

my mom found a lump in her breast in april. her family has no history of breast cancer, and she has had a cyst in her breast before.im not sure if any of this would affect the risk of her having it, but i am her only child and she has smoked for quite a while. she hasnt had any of the symptoms except for the lump and itching, shes not any weaker or anything..and she is getting a mammogram to see if she has it sep. 4th. do you think it is? and if it is, would it be too late for her?
thank you soo muchh.

How do I survive losing my best friend, my husband, to cancer in six months time? (two weeks ago)?

Posted on Aug 31, 2008 under cancer news and reports | 12 Comments

We found out he had this in February and he died on Aug. 8. I don’t know how to keep going without my love of 34 years. We are both 55.

I just wanted to tell you all that your answers are totally wonderful and amazing. I didn't even think anybody would answer this question. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Losing a soul-mate is excruciating and incredibly painful. We seriously fit together to make a 'whole' like God says in the Bible. That is why this is so …..well, I feel like 1/2 of a person.

I talk to my children and our great pastor, and some good friends. But at night, the house is so sadly empty and quiet and waking up is the same.

I am trying so hard to pray and even that is hard, which is very unusual for me. I just feel numb.

Thank you ALL. I truly appreciate your answers, and I am going to keep reading them. I am going to try to copy them to Word on my computer because they mean so much to my heart.

Love and blessings to you all.

How do you know if cancer has spread to the brain?

My grandmother has stage IV ovarian cancer that has spread throughout her abdomen and chest cavity, including lungs. Lately, she’s been having trouble concentrating, thinking clearly, and even doing simply thinking like counting money. How do I know if the cancer is effecting her brain?

Question about the aftermath of thyroid cancer?

Posted on Aug 31, 2008 under cancer news and reports | 3 Comments

I had my thyroid removed completely in Jan 2007 because of papillary thyroid cancer. I now have to be on Levothroid for the rest of my life. 250mg a day. My problem is that I forget to take it all the time. I don’t know why, but I just do. I’ve tried alarms, notes, ect. Any ideas on what I could do to help me remember? And does anyone know the long-term effects of forgetting to take this drug?
